Therapy through your local clinician is a great step to learning DBT.
For those who cannot attend or just plain aren’t ready to (which is OK 🙂 Here is a book I highly recommend purchasing if you truly want to master controlling your self harm/mutilation tendencies.
This is by NO MEANS a promise that if you use this skill workbook which I have used before, that the self harm will subside completely…
I would be a sadistic liar if I said yes.
I will always battle self mutilation tendencies. However, DBT allows me to use mindfulness and stress tolerance modules (2/4 in the book) to lessen the frequency 😊
